A black-sand beach is gorgeous, but you wanna make sure you stay on the boardwalk. Even on a cool day, your toes get singed.
Hard to find a better breakfast spread than one that includes pastries, cold cuts, fresh tomatoes, local cheeses, and just-squeezed orange juice.
We were interested in watching sunset in Oia, but couldn’t find a good spot. We kept walking and walking, until we found a little hole-in-the-wall that had an open table. It turned out to be the perfect view. I can’t believe it wasn’t mobbed, considering the crowds everywhere else. (via Vimeo)

I told the owner he had a pretty good gig, and he said, “I don’t understand. You don’t have sunsets where you live?”
Also, the playlist at this café seemed to be assembled with irony in mind: while we were enjoying an unforgettable natural spectacle, on our honeymoon, in one of the most romantic places on Earth, the first three songs to come on were:
I couldn’t make this stuff up.
Goofing around at the docks. This area is largely unchanged in ~80 years. Also, there’s a pretty badass 120’ private yacht under my left hand.
