Saw an otolaryngologist today
I’ve been having bad sinus pain for the last year, and got a CT a couple weeks ago.
The doc comes in and says the CT was a “train-wreck” (comforting). I have a badly deviated septum and a build up of totally benign polyps. It’s not cancerous or contagious, but he said “I bet this hurt a lot, and I bet you can barely smell anything.” True and true.
In fact, I’ve barely had any sense of smell my whole life.
It’s looking like he might just surgically clean out my sinuses some time in early-2010, which could possibly give me a sense of smell for the first time that I can remember.
I’m putting together a little list of things I’m dying to smell for the first time (bacon, flowers, ocean air, etc.).
What else should I look forward to smelling?
