Brady says in the article that he’d hoped the trend of dressing up for the trips would catch on with his teammates. When I played college lacrosse, we wore track suits to some away games, and jackets and ties to others, and we were treated noticeably better while traveling when we were dressed up. I wish I’d kept track of how it correlated with success on the field, but while I can’t say for sure that we played better, I know that we acted more professionally when we were dressed up, which probably translated to better preparation (more time watching film and reading scouting reports).
