fred-wilson: davehyndman: I love this shot of Obama meeting with aides in Paris. This is what real people look like when they’re working, talking. One guy is even wearing flip-flops. You know you’ve arrived when people are even impressed by the way you relax. In college, when I was working out incessantly, I used to (jokingly) say that I wanted to get so big that new acquaintances were surprised to discover I was actually a nice guy. I suppose Obama’s equivalent would be obtaining so much political capital that even leaning on steps inspires confidence.
